The Hartford 12' x 8' Storage Shed provides an excellent solution for storing tools, children's equipment and anything else that you could ever hope to store. This particular shed offers larger doors than most, meaning that big kid toys can be stored just as well as small kid toys.

 

There are optional floor kits that you can buy, saving time and cutting down on costly waste of materials. You can also buy window and shutter kits as well as octagon gable window kits that will let you place windows wherever you like for better ventilation and light in this stylish and roomy storage shed.

 

The Hartford will provide the perfect place for storing your children's equipment and the larger (5'-4" wide opening) doors on the sidewall can accommodate the big-kid toys as well. The storage building measures 12' wide x 8' deep plus a 4' deep porch area.

Your wood storage shed is created using pre-assembled sections for the walls and trusses. Trim is pre-cut and ready to attach. The pre-assembled sections assure "squareness" and reduce assembly time. Windows are not included in the basic kit. You can optionally purchase them only when ordering the shed kit.

Your  shed also includes framing and trim nails, powder coated black door hardware, and fully illustrated, step by step instructions. And, the shed is covered by our materials replacement guarantee. If any material in your kit is less than perfect on arrival, we will gladly replace it at no additional cost to you!

For a fast, fool-proof foundation, a wood floor systems is included inr your shed kit. It includes:

  • Clear instructions with simple assembly drawings

  • Pre-cut treated floor joists spaced 16”

  • Pre-cut 5/8” OSB flooring

  • Nails

 

II. Materials to buy locally for your Storage Shed
 

From a local lumberyard, buy shingles, roof edge and roofing nails. Where possible, choose shingles that match the roof on your home.

a. Decorative Wood Windows with shutters: Single hung windows with screen and decorative wood shutters. 18" x 27" dimensions. These aluminum window provide light and ventilation. Lockable frames are durable and easy to operate. Window fits between vertical studs. Decorative wood shutters are pre-assembled. Size: 18" x 27".


 

b. Decorative Gable windows: Octagonal gable windows illuminate the interior and beautify the exterior looks. These windows fit above the front door and/or on the rear window. The gable is the triangle area above the front and rear vertical walls.

Octagonal window fits between the vertical studs. Size: 15½" x 15½". Stain or paint before installation for a clean finish.
